That question is too hard for me to answer. I love them all. Every time I start FSX I have a difficult decision to make with as to which one I'm going to fly. The newer ones take the front seat for a while, then I go back to wanting to fly the rest.

Best detail and quality so far are represented by the 707 in my eyes. The main Captain Sim qualities of looks and atmosphere reach a top notch level there without losing too much on other topics.

But I'm still impressed how these qualities are present on fairly old releases too (like on the C-130 I bought lately). So I join in with Mark saying that it's hard to tell in some cases.

The best Captain Sim add-on is the next one to be released.

Because they just keep getting better and better!

...prrobably the right answer.

a) For me the 727 legendary was a hit mark in FS9, and put CS in the eyes of the sim world.
b) then the legendary 707 was a bit of a let-down, it was criticized as not being a complete new cockpit , but rather the same 727 with 4 engines. The VC was also poor, as in the 727.
c) Then came a try with modern planes, the 757. Very complicated releases of different modules confused the consumer. The low side was poor fram rates. I passed.
d) The Hercules, as for the latest B-52 are military planes, which I cannot comment cause Im not a military fan.
e) Finally, a second BIG hit, the Captain 727...fantastic and it proved to CS staff that upgrading to FSX was needed.
f) Then came another modern plane, the 767, with mixed feelings, better than the 757 but unable to make the same success of the classics.
g) Late 2010 - The third BIG hit, the remake of the 707, this time a full new plane for FSX.

Now a fourth BIG hit is showing in the horizon as the 737 is in the making.

All these factor I believe prove CS that their market is with the classics. If they try a modern plane again, the chances of failing or not making a bit hit are real. CS, dont try any Airbus, 777 or 737NG...it will fail.

After the 737-200, a clear hit would be the final set in the group of Boeing classics, the 747-200.

Good afternoon,

for me, the best CS addon is the 707 Captain. It's a very beautiful plane, and I love to flight with him. I'm not an hardcore simmer, but it's not too hard to flight wis this classical jet.

Thank you Captain for your beautiful aircrafts.

friendly

Yannick

PS : sorry about my poor english, I'm just a french newbie.

Hello, there!

This is my first post so I am not very familiar with this forum conventions. That is why I have decided to ask my questions in this thread. I am interested in quite sophisticated airliner simulation so as I think CS products are a good choice. However CS developer studio created many advanced add-ons for FSX and I am a bit lost which one is the best to buy now. In short I am looking for two types of airliners:

- modern plane: 757 or 767
- classic passenger jet: 707 or 727

So I'd like to know which plane to choose in this two categories? I can add that visual quality is less important to me. I prefer good flight model and realistic systems simulation over eye-candy. Also less buggy plane would be my favorite.

Maybe some experienced users could help me here: Is 767 better than 757 and 707 better than 727 according to my priorities?

OK, I also think more recent products are simply better and less buggy. Now I only have to figure out what plane would be a better choice for starters: 707 or 767? Unfortunately I cannot buy them both in the same time.

Thats difficult to answer and of personal choice.
The classic cockpit navigates on VOR/ADF or INS, and the systems are detailed the way aviation was for most of 90% of its history.

The 767 is more modern glass-cockpit oriented, meaning naviagting by GPS (straight line to destination, which I find it a bit boring), and all the systems are automated in digital screens.

I dont own the 767, mainly because the digital gauges of glass cockpits are heavy on frames.

I see. Tell me which airliner is more FPS friendly?

I can tell you that 757 is more frame-rate friendly than the 767. When I fly the 767, I have to lower the graphic settings to get acceptable frames.

I don't know about other CS products.

Hope it helps!
