Title: flight planning
Post by snowman3725 on Dec 15th, 2010 at 4:11am
I need a little help here im new to the whole FMC and flight planning thing....i create a flight plan on www.simroutes.com and save it then start the flight and load that flight plan on the CDU, when i execute it and look through the legs the SIDS and STARS are not displayed even though they were in the flight plan i created. Do i need to enter them manually? or are they there just not labeled like they were when i created them?

When I create a flight plan using something like www.simroutes.com, I usually enter everything manually. And as for SIDS and STARS I find it better to enter them myself.

I know this is a tutorial for the CS 757, but the FMC for the CS767 is the same. You can try the whole tutorial, or just the FMC programming part of the Tutorial.

I find Flight Sim Commander 9 is a great flight planning program. I create the plan, save it in Documents\Flight Simulator X files\ then load them with the FMC. All I add is the SIDs and STARs and I'm good to go.
