One of the stop messages that was posted earlier relates to potential driver or hard drive issues, not the fan. All I am trying to do here with the linux CD is eliminate Windows and it's various drivers as the cause. It may well still fail, but at least then we will know that it is in fact a hardware issue. Then fun begins, isolating the hardware  :)
