We would like to hear your opinion on what FSX product should CS update next? Please vote.

767 so we can get the -200F, then C-130 to fix the H version smoke issue and bring exterior view point closer, then the 757 to fix the -200F RR exterior veiw point, then the 727 to fix it exterior view point and that one over head conpartment door that wont close at the back of the cabin. I hate how the views are so far away from the aircraft ::)

I have to say the 757. An update was originally set for earlier this year, but never happened. Not yet, anyway. But because I have them all, I'll win no matter which one you do first. ;)

767, promises of a glass cockpit and -400 seem to have gone out of the window completley

That would definitely be the 757.
Fixed nightlighting and rock-and-roll-issue would be fantastic.

And the 767 came out later, so it would be fair to update the 757 first.

I voted for 757. It would be nice to see some things fixed/added:

  • VC night textures;
  • Rocking issue;
  • Speed tape

757 is a great looking aicraft but the rocking issue makes it impossible to fly for many users. I still experience rocking-roll issue sometimes. In my opinion this should be fixed ASAP.

Thanks

Definitely the 757.  I refuse to use that aircraft until the rocking issue is resolved.

Indeed, the rocking issues have rendered my 757 unflyable for the time being. Please update it  ;)

I too have them all, so I also win what ever the choice. I elected the 757 since it was the first of the "Captain" series, and does not have the complete cabin, and VC night lighting as effective as all the others following it's release. Although losing the flow lighting on the overhead of the 727 when the panel floods are extinguished still bothers me.

Cheers,
Thad

The 757 is crammed full of showstopper bugs and needs an update

Definitely the 757, for all the above reasons! Although, as evidenced by my sig, I too have the complete set!  ;D

First 727 as an old dogfrighter, then other one of course. ;)

Well I bought the 757 when it came out, which is pretty long time ago now.. (nearly 2 years?) crazy it's still not completely fixed until now.

So I vote for the 727, the AP defintively needs a complete overhaul, and maybe some minor fixes in general.
Important: PLEASE make this update available fast also for you boxed-customers; there is not 2.4 for the another company box until now.

I voted 757, although my comment applies equally to the 767 as well:

Please add the speed tape to the 757/767 ADI, and make it a user-switchable option like the winglets, if possible.  I love the 757, and this would make flying it a little nicer for me.

I also really want to see the 767-400 all-glass cockpit, too!

No major feature requests with the 727, just would like all the bugs "to be addressed in the next update" to be addressed.

767:  Speed Tape on the ADI, upgrade the engine sounds.  All the small items like cabin altitude have been addressed throughout the forums.

727: GPS select for the VOR to drive the autopilot.  Also, TCAS would be nice on the 727, and please fix the autopilot bugs.  The other issue with the 727 is the hydraulics - you should be able to work the ailerons, etc with the system A down (as in an engine failure), as system B would provide pressure - this however does not happen - an engine failure on the #1, and #2 engine means you cannot control the aircraft (unless I am doing something totally wrong).

757 - Please provide an American Airlines repaint - I can't find one anywhere  >:(

Otherwise the aircraft are GREAT!

Thank you all for sharing.
The 757 seems to be a simple winner here. So our next update is going to be the 757 4.5.

Time to hear what are the most annoying issues with current version: http://www.captainsim.org/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1288986636

A 757 update coming, 767 update (chances are better than even) to follow, a B-52 VC coming soon (possibly) AND, to top it off, a new aircraft that the majority have voted for. Sounds like you've got your hands full now. ;D

I have a feeling it is gonna be some form of a 737. Either 737 Adv, or 737 Classic. Probably not both.  :P
It would be awesome to fly that and the OTHER one.

Even though it's the only one I own of the series I'd have to say 727 fsx. It's one of the originals of captainsim fallowing Legendary and to me one of the best.

If an update is possible to fix the loading problem into FSx I'd be more than happy

The 757 needs some fixes. It needs different interiors to match those of the airline. (those seats are plain distgustng in there right now). Exterior features should be fixed. The ram-air turbine needs to go back in its compartment from the animations panel. The poster in teh cockpit should be chageable in te 757 ACE tool. (we'd like Bar Refaeli on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit not a bunny [no offense to bunny lovers]).

Title: Re: What product should CS update next?

Hi pj747.

I believe that it is the same in many respects. The name of the files, I assume, will be the same. It's worth having a look a look and see. The file is cs757_C_30_T.dds and can be found in [MSFS Root Folder]\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B757-200\texture. I'm not sure of what Just Flight's folder naming they use on the 757 Captain is.

I use DXTBmp, which you can get from HERE (it's free) to open the DDS file, send it to the editor (you can choose whatever program you prefer for that), make the changes, reload after edit, the save it back as a modified DDS file.

Backup the original first, in case you make a mistake. ;)

I voted for B-757. It would be nice to see the "Cabin Pressure Control" fixed. The same occurs with B-767.

P.S. - By the way, CS C-130's "Cabin Pressure Control", works fine.

The 767-400 would still require an all-new exterior model. It has larger windows, its longer, bigger gear, its nose is lower, longer and raked wingtips...

With the ability to actually do in-flight re-fueling. That would be very cool.

I would love to see a CS plane as a tanker flying a stock oil burner route so you could do some air-2-air flying and get some fuel. I believe that would sell a bunch of copies.

This capability has already been requested for both the KC-767A Tanker and KC-130. So it would be nice to have a KC-135 to go with them. ;)

Now let's be honest ...
In my eyes it would make sense at all to equip aircraft with another update!
It's just not really much fun to fly an aircraft, which has front and back problems yet.
Certainly it is nice to build new aircraft, but the customer should not be penalized for the new aircraft are always designed and purchased to be neglected.
It would be nice to know what steps are being made, and how far it looks for updates to the "old" planes.
