Does your #1 engine have a fuel source? And have you tried a manual start?

Yes....I put the fuel lever in the "on" position during spoolup, but the engine just spooled back down. I will try the full start procedure and see if that works.

You have to move it to "start", not fully to "on". The fuel-lever should there be at about 80-90%. Otherwise the engine will shut down.
Hope this helps! |

Hi.
I put the Engine Start Levers all the way to 100% for an engine start. Works every time. I can't see why the method you use will work for engine #2, #3 & #4 and not for #1. But when I first got the 707, I had a lot of trouble getting it started. Sometimes one or two engines and sometimes none of them would start. CTRL + E would not always work either. Although that was with the 707 v1.0, it appears to have come with v1.1 too. Give my engine start procedure HERE a try. This is the way I got a 100% success rate for starting my engines in both v1.0 and v1.1. Hopefully you will get all four engines started. One other thing to look at is the fuel loading (which fuel tanks are full or empty). If any of the fuel tanks are empty, make sure you click on the four Manifold Valve Switches so that fuel from any tank can feed any engine. Hope this helps. Mark |

Just to confirm that Prevost1 is not the only one where CTRL+E starts engines 2, 3, 4 but not engine 1. Your (Markoz) method works 100%.
