Title: Fuel Problem Post by DLH9KA on Sep 20th, 2010 at 6:20pm
Hi there, first of all great Bird to fly!
However I have a problem here..... I took off from Germany to Palma de Mallorca and during flight Engine 2 and 3 went off! I had a look at the FE's panel and noticed that the center Tank was already emty... The strange thing is that Tank number 2 and 3 were half full and should feed those engines, but it didn't! Restart was impossibe! So I filled some fule into the center tank and I was able to restart Engine 3 only! Although all tanks are on and working and feeding every engine It's impossible to relight engine 2 and engine 3 allways shuts down if I switch off center tank....strange :o Any Idea ? Kind Rgds, Patrick |

Hi Patrick.
That happened to me the other day (I was still climbing at the time though!!!), except that I was able to restart BOTH engines! But only after I turned the Fuel Boost Pumps to the empty Center Tank OFF! It appears that with this bird you have to make sure those pumps are off as soon as the run out of fuel. ;) Mark |

Have you checked the FE panel and make sure the fuel switches are pointing vertically?? It will pull from all tanks then.. ;) If you keep at default which are horizontal, it takes from the Aux tanks first I believe, and you'll run out of fuel quickly, hence the engine shutdown.. Just click em all vertically.. Cheers..
