Havn't found them either. There seems to be none. I use the FS-key-combo to turn the radio master on. CoolP wrote on Sep 2nd, 2010 at 1:41am:

Dont think the 707 had one. Some were maybe retrofitted or specially ordered with such a switch. CoolP wrote on Sep 2nd, 2010 at 1:41am:

Wow, thanks for the replies.
As you saw, some items are mentioned in the checklists and aren't there or named different. "Radio Master Switches" - in the checklist "EPR Bugs set" - in the checklist Engine Start Control Selectors "BOTH" - in the checklist I wonder how I did those pack overheat to happen because, as you said, "packs off" is standard and I could swear ... however, maybe I was distracted or somethings. Thanks anyway. I will recheck the fire alarm but I already did a PC restart and still had none. Quote:
Correction on you or the manual concerning the start pressure gauge Again, thumbsup on those fast and good replies. Great feeedback. |

Ok, I've found the gauge in my 707 manual. And according to its scale and position it has to be the rudder hydraulic pressure gauge. As you might know, the rudder is the only control surface in the 707 which moves by hydraulic pressure. The elevator and ailerons are moved by cables.
But there is also the "start air pressure indicator" in my manual! It has the same scaling (0-4), and its in the same place. BUT, it got two needles; L and R. EDIT: As for the EPR-bugs I've found some pictures. Some had them, some didnt: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Sabena/Boeing-707-329/1555432/L/ http://www.airliners.net/photo/Untitled-(Omega-Air)/Boeing-707-3M1C/0736382/L/ http://www.airliners.net/photo/Air-France/Boeing-707-328B/0397633/L/ Again, they had them, if they were either retrofitted or ordered with them. |

Thanks again for the fast answers :)
I totally believe you when talking about that pressure gauge, I just wanted to show where I got my information from. As you said, the manuals containing the checklist might need some revision. EPR bugs in the Captain Sim product would be nice, see that as a wish :D |

As for the amber light mentioned at point #5, I've found something in my manual. It says that this light should be illuminated if the heaters are de-energized (means if theyre OFF). I'll add a ticket for this.
And I tried to reproduce an overheat in the packs, but wasnt succesful even with all bleed air valves open and both packs on. But I did a low-pressure start, it might happen if a high-pressure start is done with packs on. I'll check that. |
