Title: Yoke shaking during climb or descent
Post by montreal on Aug 27th, 2010 at 8:31pm
Just wondering if this is normal. Noticed that during climb or descent the yoke shakes violently. After pressing CTL Z to level off ,the yoke  returns to normal.

Am I doing something wrong?

Mine does it too. It think it has something to do with the NULL ZONES of the joystick in the Control Settings. Mine are set to the default position and therefore is sensitive to the touch, this sends my 707 yoke into a twitching mode which settles down after a while. Because the POV Hat is on the joystick, simply moving my view around the cockpit sets this of regularly.

The only time I have seen this is when autopilot is engaged and there is joystick input.  If I don't touch my joystick, it is rock steady.

I think Captain Sim program the climb and decent through yoke actions not A/P pitch control program (???)
