Title: How do you change or remove registration UR-VVF
Post by Wotan on Aug 13th, 2010 at 10:35am
Hi,

I have searched & also checked the KB to no avail hope someone can help me.

I want to change the registration UR-VVF that is displayed on the forward left instrument panel.

With all the effort that has gone into this great model both flight deck & exterior liveries,  UR-VVF displayed when I'm flying a BA or American a/c is annoying & something that I feel should not have been overlooked.

I hope I have overlooked something.

Any help most appreciated.
Thanks

Unfortunately, that's the case. FS9 platform projects not supported anymore.

You can change in manually by himself only for each a/c.

It was fixed in 4.4 version for FSX

Hi Stanislav,

Thanks for your reply.

Do you know what the file name is, so I can change it myself, where the file is located & what paint program I would need to paint a new registration.

Thanks
Nigel

Hi Nigel
the file name is cs757_C01_T.bmp (this file is located for each livery folder).
You can try to make any changes via this one DXT-BMP converter
http://www.avsim.su/jump.phtml?http://www.btinternet.com/~mnwright/download/dxtbmpx.EXE

Open this file by this converter, save it in any other folder (Desktop, for example) in "Extended 32-bit 888-8" format. Then, open this file by standard Microsoft Paint, make changes to new correct a/c registration, save it. Finally, open this file via DXT-BMP converter once again and save it in DXT1 format.
So, put this updated file to the folder back with replace ( don't be forget to make the copy of original file before all actions!)

Hi Stanislav,

This information is most appreciated.

I'll follow your instruction & give it a go.

I understand UR-VVF is now a B767 as well.

Thanks again
Nigel

Hi Stanislav,

I've done that & it worked for the VC panel but the 2D panel is still the same.

I used the convert program & looked through lots of other files but can't find the 2D panel file.

Have you any idea where the 2D panel file is located.

Thanks
Nigel
