Title: EICAS in base pack only
Post by GTW on Jun 28th, 2010 at 8:05am
I have the base pack. The Website states EICAS and steam gauges are part of this but the manual states you need Extra Pack I to use them. I can't get the EICAS working using ACE, any advice?

Look in the folder to make sure the panel.g files are there.  In ACE select just one EICAS panel and save.  Then start FSX up and select that partiular plane.  Should be there.  For instance, just try USAF Camo 80s in ACE, SAVE, load fsx, select USAF Camo 80s.

Thanks Raymar. initially the LH EICAS appeared but showed zero, even when the engines were going but cycled views and all good.

Out of curiosity. Did change (or try to change) it using ACE before you started FSX or while you were using the C-130 in FSX? I have found that if it is changed while using FSX, you don't see the changes until FSX is restarted.

Mark,

It was changed and saved prior to starting FSX.  Not sure if ACE was closed before starting FSX.

What I'm now finding is the LH EICAS often reads zero while the LH has the proper reading. Will document what causes this. I haven't done a forum search yet.
