Hi Michael,
To estimate the TOD use the 1:3 rule: to descend from FL 350: 3 x 35 = 105 nm.
Throttles at idle (FLCH) i descend around 2.300 fpm to FL100. 1.500 - 1.800 fpm at 250kt down to the glide slope intercept altitude. There is no need to use the speedbrakes in a well planned descend.
And if i have to use the speedbrakes due to ATC the bird drops at 3000 - 4000 fpm.
