Title: 757 Speedbrakes
Post by DAL 191 on May 22nd, 2010 at 7:15am
The 757 speedbrakes seem very ineffective when compared to the 762 or 763. When they are extended in flight they even appear different from the 762, 763, and default FSX A321 and 737-800 but they do agree with several other addon planes that I have. On the 757 I only use VNAV to takeoff, climb or cruise. For decent I use SPD, V/S, and HOLD and I start the decent usually about 30 nm before TD. Any decent rate at 2000 fpm or above the speedbrakes won't even maintain the current speed much less slow the plane down. Do other people have this problem or is it just me? About six months ago I changed some values for the spoilers in the cfg file but it made no difference. Does anyone have and ideas?

Thank you
Michael Cubine
