what is your total weight? if u have full pax and cargo + full fuel and try to shoot for the moon right off u'll not make it...burn off some fuel or for your next try, go with half pax and cargo and fuel and see what happens or try it with empty load and half the fuel.

I hope you mean FL300 which is 30,000 ft, or is your FSX set to metric not US ft, if it is 30,000 metres is much higher

ED

PS as you get to this altitude you must reduce your rate of climb to under 1000 fpm

I have a full plane and I just go 100% throttle at abt 7 degrees up.  You also need to make sure the wind is at your back.

I use the FMC to determine the optimum altitude and climb to that altitude. I only fly above that AFTER being told by the FMC that is time to do a Step Climb to the next altitude!

lol.  just go in ur planes  .config file, look for ur engine parameters, and change them from the captain sim norm of 60100 static thrust. captain sim for some reason puts all their boeing addons at the lower end of the specific planes engine rating thrust.  However, I go to wiki, look up the exact engines for the specific model boeing aircraft, and I set the static thrust accordingly to the highest rated model engine I find that is currently in service with the boeing jet. So then I put my engines around 65000 static thrust (which is on the top end of PW and GE engine ratings for 767-300) and i have no problems getting to any altitute under 40k. its quite nice now.  Very simple fix!
