Title: Performance data Post by Ulic on Jan 9th, 2010 at 1:51pm
Good day,
After buying the FS9 version of the B757 recently I have been reading the manuals and got some questions about manual 4 with performance data. - Manual 3 lists a maximum takeoff weight of 220000 lbs. Why do the performance tables include values up to 260000 lbs? - the long range cruise control table lists FF/ENG. I suppose this is fuel flow per engine per hour? - why are some tables duplicated? e.g. Long range cruise control on pages 16 and 27, holding on pages 18 and 29 and a few more. What's the difference between those tables? - a slight error in the descent table on page 17, up from pressure alt 31 the values for distance seem to be missing the last digit. - can anyone explain me what the terms stopway and clearway mean? - a table is present to calculate the necessary landing distance, is there a way to determine the necessary takeoff distance? Thanks in advance |

Generally, the P&W engines were higher thrust rating than RR, therefore allowing a higher takeoff weight, although I haven't looked at the tables you have asked about. You may referring to maximum "calculated" takeoff versus maximum "structural". You are right about the FF/Eng per hour. I have actual 757 takeoff perf charts I could email you. |
