                Can anyone advise on this problem of my missing HSI, & also why my autopilot doesn't work.

                I have tried the update & nothing has changed  - my system is FS9/Vista 64 bit

As I understand you didn't align the IRS. Do it and you will get "live" HSI and working autopilot :)

Thanks - your right   :) but -  I still have an existing problem of the ac not capturing the glideslope though (even coming in on the right speed  & height !)

BTW.  I have reinstalled the a/c &, reinstalled the latest version of FSIUPC. I've omitted to reinstall the update as I have recently bought this add - on

If you mean landind using "Autoland" then it goes like this: catch ILS/turn towards the runway, when glideslope alive wait till the glideslope sign reaches approx. 1 point before centre, then hit "App" button (below "Loc" button), the plain will automatically catch the glideslope and begin descendind. That's all.
