Title: EPR Working with 2.3
Post by javiercuellar on Dec 28th, 2009 at 2:14pm
Ok, I've tested the EPR with appropiate performance charts and it looks it is fixed!!!!!!! At least for cruise, where I don't need TAT.

Climb and descent can't be tested because no TAT gauge avaiable.

Javier -

Not sure what you mean here...the EPR readings are not accurate?

Or are you saying you are not able to use them because you don't know what the TAT is?

For climb I need the TAT, so I can't use tables, but for cruise speed TAT is not needed.

Ex. Base on 727-100 charts, to obtain 0.78 mach at FL250 with 130.000lbs (gross weight), 1.63 EPR is needed.  If you put 1.63, speed will be 0.70 mach, not 0.78M.

OK I understand...thanks Javier.

I guess it's good that I set my EPR by the "trial and error" method  :P
