Title: Fantastic Sale!!! Thank you! Post by Drew on Dec 12th, 2009 at 12:39pm
What a fantastic sale! My girlfriend bought me the 727-100 and 200 to add to the 757 I already have. She's a beauty! I don't fly in FSX much, because I fly for Delta Virtual, on the 727 fleet, so stuck with FS9 and the another company 727, but now I can enjoy FSX properly. I have her all figured out, have set up my Saitek pro yoke and levers and just took her for a handflight round the circuit at Seattle - very pretty scenery round there. She handles like a dream... There's a couple of little glitches with interior lighting and reverser buckets but I expect that's something to do with the fact I have the wick turned down on most of my graphics settings for the sake of performance - I really MUST buy a better graphics card!
Anyway.... she's fantastic, I love it. I've always loved the 727 because its so much more challenging than the fly by mouse click stuff... I always fly by hand below 10K.... unless its really soupy. Thanks Chaps, brilliant job! Capt Drew Melia, Delta Virtual Airlines |

I agree. I bought all the 727 packs yesterday, as well as the C-130 Full pack. Probably things I never would have bought if they hadn't been on sale.
I'm not so sure about the light bug you mentioned. I did notice that when I turn off the one of the over head lights the rest go off as well. That maybe a bug. On the reverser animation, it only works on the 727RE models only, so thats not a bug, just the way it is. The only thing that really bugs me is getting the altimeter set right, it is really hard to get it to the right nimbers, even hitting the B key doesn't always seem to get it right. Plus the VSI is a little wacky, but they are fixing that in the next service pack. |

LOL! She is, she really is.... She's really supportive of my hobby.... not like my last partner who was convinced it was all a front for cruising porn sites!!! Not a nice woman... BTW... it makes us sound really young when we refer to each other as "boyfriend/girlfriend".... actually, we're both 50 next year!!

I'm over 50 already and I've been married for 20 years next month. My wife supports my hobby too, although she doesn't actually buy anything for me. She allows me to buy them for myself but from her. Like my Christmas present, CH Pro Pedals USB. Last Christmas I got the CH Flight Sim Yoke USB from her. LOL. Flight Simming makes me feel young! ;) Mark |

I've been with mine for almost 6 years and I can tell you guys how lucky you are. "You spent HOW much?!" when I got a new Saitek yoke. "Why do need ANOTHER one?!" when I got FSX. "Now you TALK TO PEOPLE?!" when I started on VATSIM. Thank god she doesn't know what payware is or I'd never hear the end of it.
She's going to have a cow when she gets home today and I tell her I just bought a new PC. ;) |
