Title: Re: EPR display Post by Tim Capps on Nov 7th, 2009 at 2:46am
Finally got a flight in, but was distracted and forgot to try it. I started at about 12:30 this afternoon and will be done in another couple of hours.
I'm wondering why you're needing to know where to position the throttles. If you are using autothrust, push them forward until 1.40 (I'm going by memory here, so someone correct me please if I'm wrong on the mark) and hit your EPR button. They'll move where they need to be. If you are trying to do a de-rated takeoff, you know that your FMC can handle that based on an assumed temperature entered before you take off? Manual thrust management is one of the few areas the manual isn't as helpful as it might be. Fortunately, it is not necessary to touch it for normal operations. If someone is motivated to use it, you are moving beyond my expertise at present. |
