Well, with the throttle quadrant I use, (go flight tq6) despite the current drivers and calibration, the auto throttle does not work very well.  When I engage, the airplane will throttle up and down very rapidly, so auto throttle is pretty much useless to me right now until better drivers come out.......all that and it looks cool too... ;-)
