Title: Re: Review At Avsim Post by Tim Capps on Jun 7th, 2009 at 3:25pm
Every review dings CS on the lack of a tutorial, and has since the blocks first started coming out. Other than what's available on this forum, I don't know of any. There are Bob Markey's videos for startup, an FMC tutorial from a previous version that still works, and an autoland tutorial that is good.
As far as a whole flight from beginning to end, not that I'm aware of. CS is not the only company to wait for a fan to create a tutorial, though. Two recent payware purchases have had fanware tutorials, and they are both excellent. On the plus side, the 757 has a very easy-going personality and no gotchas. If you have experience with any other Boeing payware, you shouldn't have any trouble at all. Also, the manuals are excellent. The operations manual is worth printing out because it has everything step-by-step. If you have any questions, just ask. I'm sure somebody will be able to help. Once you get the performance issue managed (which is not hard on a good computer) this is a very enjoyable and versatile airplane. |
