Title: FSUIPC and 757 Post by JayG on May 25th, 2009 at 4:19pm
This is becomming more than just annoying. I once again had to revert to FSUIPC version 4.3 to get the AP to work again after the 757 update.
Thats only part of the problem. When installing the 757 it also installs FSUIPC 4.5 UNregistered version and overwrites any REGISTERED version. Since I have to pay for FSUIPC, I really don't want to replace it with an unregistered version, anyway around this CS? |

JayG,
I'm using a registered version of FSUIPC v4.5 and did not "loose" my registration nor did I have to reinstall it. I also do not have any problems with the autopilot of the CS757 not working correctly with FSUIPC v4.5. It works just fine on my end. |

I don't see how it can work sometimes and sometimes not. I'm using Vista64 and have FSUIPC v4.50 which works fine.
Pete Dawson says that there are some interum versions also available, but 4.52 will be released in a couple of weeks and he will no longer be supporting 4.50, so if there is a problem with the FSX Captain Sim 757, and newer versions of FSUIPC, they need to get fixed within the next two weeks or it's going to get left high and dry. He says that some others are complaining about problems with the autopilot and new versions of FSUIPC and that Captain Sim needs to get a hold of him so they can fix the problem. |

I see numerous posts now that reverting to FSUIPC 4.3 works for most having AP problems. A friend of mine had the same problems and reverting to the old version fixed his.
No idea why this is happening, but it definatly is. |

The registered version of FSUIPC is well worth it. One of the best little programs available for FSX or FS9. Never again will you have to worry about going into FS Options to reset default controllers. Each aircraft, whether prop, jet, chopper or fighter, can have it's own controller and button profile that will load automatically with it. Profiles set through FSUIPC work much smoother. Plus many control options that are in FSUIPC are not in FS. Like programing thrust reversers to the CH thrust levers. I love the "Traffic Zapper" for if you have AI traffic acting stupid, like heading right for you. There is a lot of other smoothing features for controllers and weather plus an auto save feature that will periodically save your flight, which is nice if you get a CTD. I've used FSUIPC registered version now for over a year and I don't know what I did without it. :) It doesn't have anything to do with nav data like SIDs and STARs though. Somebody put a fix on the forum for the 4.3 version yawing back and forth on approach which worked great for me. Also Pete Dawson has just put up a new interum update for FSUIPC that solves a few problems. http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=74352 One problem was that FSUIPC limited the amount of profiles that you could set. Now there is no limit. FSUIPC is working great for the CS757 now. I'm having no problems at all with the newest version. |
