Title: Video demos and FSX capabilities...
Post by Songright on May 25th, 2009 at 3:40am
Hey all, this is probably a stupid question.  But I've been a simmer for years and there's something about CaptainSim videos that stumps me.  In the demo videos for various FSX aircraft, the camera "walks" up and down the aisles, looking out windows and into flight attendant stations and restrooms, etc.  But I've never seen how to do that when I actually load the plane into FSX.  Am I missing something?
:-?

This is done with a default FSX feature.
FSX let's you move your eyepoint in VC view.
So you can 'walk' through your aircraft using these commands.

The standard commands for this are:
move back: CTRL + ENTER
move down: shift + backspace
move forward: CTRL + backspace
move left: CTRL + shift + backspace
move right: CTRL + shift + ENTER
move up: shift + ENTER
reset: CTRL + space

or just look in the controls  'eyepoint' commands.

Hope I helped...

Tyrion!
Thanks!  You have added immeasurably to my whole FSX experience!  Don't know how I missed that in the manual/etc., but it opens up a whole new world to me now in regard to the richness FSX itself and of CaptainSim airplanes in specific.  My mind is boggled.
Thanks again!
