Title: Re: Flare on autoland

Just did a flight from KLAX to KSFO and I must change my opinion. The aircraft does flare prior to touchdown. That is not the problem. The problem is that when on glideslope the aircraft starts to increase the angle of descent when at about 200-500 ft over ground. The sinkrate increases to 1000-1200 ft/min and so the aircraft is not able to reduce the sinkrate for a smooth landing. You can see that the aircraft tries to flare. The blue diamond of the ILS is rising which means the nose is gently pulled up for flare. But because of the sinkrate to high the aircraft can not make it. If the sinkrate remains at about 700 ft/min the aircraft would make a perfect landing. Maybe this helps the guys from captain sim fixing this problem.
