Title: blank guages Post by Sammy on May 3rd, 2009 at 2:37am
Has anyone experience this? I just purchased the 757 and installed it but the guages are blank and I get a audible alarm when I am on the ground. i reinstalled it but same thing. is this a validation issue. what can I do?

totally blank or just needs irs alignment?
if it's the irs alignment, just go to the overhead panel and set the 3 knobs on the top left to nav wait a minute it will come on. |

I did align the irs as well as push the inop buttons on the overhead panel. The PFD and ND came to life but still have the audible alarm. But why isnt the aircraft ready to go when I load it on the active runway. Is there a tutorial for this and how do I load it so it is ready to go?I also wanted to post pics but dont know how>

you still need to prep it for takeoff, flap settings, fmc programing, fuel pumps, window heat as required stab trim settings...all those kinds of goodies..do you still have blank gauges after irs alignment?...maybe you need to go through the pre-flight checklist line by line, you'll find it somewhere in the forum if you do a search...there is a very good tutorial on youtube by one of our very own member, Bob Markey which is at the top sticky forums

The irs and all systems on the overhead panel are inoperative and need to be pressed. After aligning irs and and setting switches to active on the OH the guages are OK. then I get the audible alarm that doesn't stop until I take off. Any sim I've used is reading to go when you load on the active runway except for the obvious fmc.flaps,etc. I've reinstalled 5 times . :-?

I purchased this aircraft last week with my visa. Why is there skepticism about this problem. I downloaded the 757-200 Captain Pro Pack (FSX) (File size is 86.99 Mb) no demo. I redownloaded twice just incase the first file was bad. I looked at your videos but thats from cold and dark. I usually load the aircraft on the active runway and usually any aircraft I've purchased is ready to go except for the obvious I wont mention again.

Sammy, if this is still an issue, do you have any saved flights with any aircraft instrument or engine or any other kind of trouble? if you do can you try deleting the saved flight and try if that works. or any saved flight at all for that matter.you can also try redownloading the aircraft after disabling the anti virus and the firewall just for a while.
