Title: ILS and RDMI not working Post by soldano on Apr 21st, 2009 at 2:59am
I cannot make the ILS work, although all systems seem to be OK:
AP controls heading, speed and altitude OK ILS receiver is tuned in the right frequency OBS in the right course CTR APP mode selected in EFIS In the ADI the glideslope pointer shows but works erratically, same as the FD.- In the HSI, the word "ILS" and its frequency appears.- The ILS needle points to the selected course, but the course deviation needle seems not to be active and remains aligned with the to/from pointer and stuck there not moving at all.- Other problem: In the HSI, both VOR needles work OK, but in the RDMI, both needles remain stuck in their horizontal position, although the selectors are in VOR position.- Although both L and R DME indicators shows the correct distances.- Some ideas about this issue ? Thanks |

I assume you are on the proper speed angle and specially in the proper altitude for that particular's airport approach?

Of course, I am in a position in which the course deviation and glide slope pointers should become active.- |

Fixed
In the aircraft panel, all systems were switched on, but as I am using a Saitek Proflight switch panel, noticed that the avionics master key was off, (strangely that affected only the ILS and the RDMI), so I switch it on and now everything works OK with the exception of the AP disconnect problem, which I hope should be fixed in an incoming patch.- |
