Title: FS Passengers and CS 757 Post by Mark Dickie on Apr 7th, 2009 at 5:04pm
Hi Guys,
Sorry if this has already been asked but I searched and didn't find anything. I have all my cockpit sounds in the 757 working perfectly until I start FS Passengers, then only default FSX sounds work. All the custom CS 757 ones no longer play such as TCAS, passengers signs, buttons and knobs. I realise this is clearly not the fault of the CS 757 but was wondering if anyone had found a workaround? |

Still fiddling with this, I've found that if you turn off the gate dialog which tells you how many passengers will board then you keep your custom sounds... for about 5 mins or so and then they stop working again anyway. Ah well it is progress of sorts, my next attempt will be to downgrade my version of FSUIPC which will also fix the autopilot disconnect problem.
Also just a note about the KB article on custom sounds, reloading the aircraft doesn't seem to fix the problem for me. Also while FSPassengers is in a flight it doesn't let you do that anyway. |

Interesting, Mark.
I don't use the gate dialog, it's annoying. I pull up the manifest from the FSPX kneeboard thingie when it comes time to enter my weights in FMC. Any time I notice sounds disappearing in sim, regardless of plane, I will cycle the "Q" key (sound on/off) and that quite usually fixes the issue. |

Thanks for the advice Bob, I've found that dumping the gate dialog and editing the sound.ini as detailed in another post on this forum has fixed my sound issues competely.
Now I can get on with the business of flying this excellent plane complete with the sounds of machine and man ;-) |
