Title: Zoom out question Post by pntbllr233 on Mar 27th, 2009 at 5:38am
I like to fly with my view zoomed all the way out. It makes it seem more real to me. I have tried this with the CS 757 pro pack. When I zoom out it makes it very hard to see. Is there a way to raise the seat up to see over the panel? I tried Ctrl + space bar, but that made my view even worse. I have tried many other key combos to make my view just right, but I can't figure it out. Any help at all would be great.
Thanks, Mike |

Shift+Enter & Shift+Backspace ? :) Also try to find F1 View software. It's free and makes viewing much more easier.

I tried all of those and more. Nothing worked. Do you have a web site for the F1 software.

It says it works for FS9. Does it work for FSX? I would love to use it if it does work because the zoomed in view I have been using is killing me. Ha!
Thanks, Mike |

You might also wish (if you have extra unassigned buttons and switches in your yoke or joystick) to add some buttons to move your view up/down, left/right, front/back. Or, pick up a TrackIR4 Pro. This is a head tracking device which is really a "must-have" for VC users. It allows you to look around the cockpit with a minimum of effort and in a very natural way, by simply moving your head around.
Also, if you're not already aware, if you hold down the space bar, you enter "Mouse Look" mode in FSX, and you can then use the mouse to look around the cockpit, and the scroll wheel becomes a zoom in/zoom out. I find when I'm zoomed very far out, it is hard to read the PFD's and EICAS/EFIS screens. You can click inside each of those display screens and a large version will "pop out" for clear view. Click in it again to make it go away. |
