Title: Best method to get cold and dark Post by Mark Dickie on Mar 19th, 2009 at 9:33am
Hi Guys,
Just wondering what the best method is for getting to the cold and dark situation with the 757. I was thinking of starting in the parking area with something simple like a c172 and just turning off the engine, avionics and battery. How do you guys do it. Also to Captain Sim, you guys rock. This aircraft is fantastically detailed and well worth the money. Furthermore if Bob Markey is lurking top marks for your tutorial videos, helped make the check list extra clear for me. Safe flying! |

I usually just pull back on the mixture control and do a SHIFT+M. You can also go through the shut down checklist, exit the flight. Then next time you restart that Aircraft, it will still be cold and dark.
Hey Captian Sim, could you put a Cold and Dark setting into ACES?!? |

im one of those guys who has as much fun starting the planes up as i do flying them!
so C and D configuration is very important to me what i have been doing for years is..right after installing FS for the first time...i put the default 172 at my home base airport...i then shut everything down...and save it as my default flight... once i had to leave the avionics on and mixture rich...because it blocked those things on some other add ons when i tried to fly them...but i havent had that situation since i switched to FSX also i set the view and atc window the way i like too...and it remembers as far as putting it as an ace option...well... i personally like when add ons recognize the default flight configuration instead of ignoring it |
