The FMC plans your fuel burn for you. Is this not what you're looking for?

fuel planer it means to fill fuel tanks properly before flight when I know the range to destination as fuel is too expensive for nowdays & I don't need to get more fuel than it neccesory 8-)

I just punch in my ZFW, set up the plan with the fuel onboard and my reserve setting, look for what it says the burn will be, add my reserve to that and subtract it from the fuel onboard. Change the fuel to that, and recalc. Still have a bit more fuel aboard after that because of reduced weight meaning less burn, but it's closer than it was before. :)

Your calculator is the best that I know of.
If you always use econ (COST 0) on your FMC, watch closely what your burn is in climb, cruise, and descent. your burn will be similar (but not always the same) depending on your weight and flight level. You can then make basic approximations like "I'll climb about average 2200 fpm to FL360" so to get from sea level to 360 should maybe take about 16 minutes, so if that burn is about 5000 pph per engine then this is 166.666 pounds per minute for both engines, so your climb might be near 2666.656 pounds for a 16 minute climb in this configuration. And so on. The numbers are just examples. And that idea doesn't of course factor the winds or air pressure, which are both factors in an accurate calculation. I did what I mentioned before in my flight last night, with a 15,000 lbs reserve calculation, and had some more headwind than expected, thus my landing fuel was 13,800 lbs. Still more than 1 hour reserve, and FSPassengers-X was happy about it. |

tnx a lot Bob I'm counting about like you, in climb 4400 pph and 1300 pph en route and checking hours of flight, but nevetheles this perfect product needs fuel calculator!

Hi my dear freands again! why I asked about fuel calculator becourse I'm flying in FSA system (flynet previas) and recantly my flight on capsim 753 was cheaked as cheat but I didn't fuel up my craft in flight, can somebody explane me who wrongs my aircraft or FSA admin, so look :
I I don't know why it happened but pilot fills 22666 lbs on departure and after landing had 6409 lbs in tanks befor flight was bought about 10 tonn fuel but FSA report shows amaizing result, please take me clear obout it. admin OK. The figures you are looking at are the figures AFTER we have reviewed the flight and marked it as a cheat flight. However, the original 'Fuel on Departure' is still showing. Your pilot used an aircraft which had 6756kgs on it from previous flight. He bought 3525kgs of fuel and departed with 10281kgs. Fuel on arrival was 2816 kgs so block fuel was recorded as 7465kgs. So for a flight distance of 2743NM he was quite happy to depart with only 10281 kgs and only use 7465kgs for a flight of 7+ hours duration. Typical fuel burn for flight of that distance in that aircraft type is 23409kgs. Flight was reviewed, marked as cheat and additional 15944kgs block fuel charged for. I just take capsim B753 and you'll see his consuption , at level He has FF 0.9 - 1.2 pph. to be continuied... |

admin of FSA:
Then the Captain Sim is a bad model and unrealistic with regards fuel usage. Unless you make adjustments, continued use of the aircraft at this low level of fuel consumption may result in further flights being flagged and reviewed as cheat flights. If you need help with the aircraft.cfg to adjust fuel consumption I would suggest you search the forums and maybe post requesting help from another Captain Sim user. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ can sombody wright here real fuel consumption for aircraft.cfg of 753 & 752? |

I have used vroute (premium version) for fuel calculations. It's quite handy even if you are not flying in Vatsim. It's Navigraph compatible, provides appropriate route planning tool, weather information and atc coverage information if flying in vatsim.
Regarding fuel planning, the programme has CS B753 as available aircraft type but not CS 752. However they have PSS C752 and I think that is close enough. Regarding the fuel burn, here is something that can be used as thumb rule assuming long range flight, full payload and cost index 50 (accumulative figures): First Hour 4.120 kg Second hour 7.680 kgs Third hour 11.160 kgs Fourth hour 14.880 kgs Fifth hour 18.750 kgs Sixth hour 22.860 kgs Seventh hour 26.880 kgs Eighth hour 30.960 kgs Even rougher thumb rule would say that 757 burns approximately 4.000 kg / hour. And according to my experience captain sim 757 seems to burn fuel approximately on the above mentioned rates. Nikke |

The best fuel planner I have found for the 757 and a bunch of other aircraft types is an online resource developed buy the guys at AeroTexas. It's a freeware fuel planner and will create loadsheets as well. http://fuel.aerotexas.com

Pretty nice, I especially liked the dispatcher loadsheet, however the downside is the fact that you cannot enter your own payload data to calculation (Payload based on 2008-2009 national load factor for U.S. flights, and is adjusted monthly to reflect seasonal variation). It would be superb to combine this kind of fuel planner to ACE coming with Captain Sim > result dispatcher load sheet with payload information, fuel information and CoG MAC%. :D Nikke |
