Its a procedure that it has to with a/c settings and behaviour when you lose one or more engines. You need a driftdown speed to maintain @ present alt, then to descend @ driftdown speed (@ about 100fpm in C130) keeping the functional engines @MCT (Max Continious Thrust) and then level off at a lower alt, depending on the charts I am looking for. The charts involve speed and levels for various configurations.
