i donot have fs9 version but fsx model is decently fast! mind you its still slower than all other planes i've got. And yes it does helps a bit when you reduce 3d cockpit textures to less details. Its possible to reduce texture size to one notch smaller then this model would be super fast!!!!!

What i'm unsure of is, if captain sim would allow to let distribute their original textures into reduced size on public download sites.
