Title: FSX 7572  - White strobelights
Post by ice5000 on Jul 5th, 2008 at 11:52am
May have been an earlier issue, but discovered last night on ground, when checking lights, that the White Strobe lights are hardly visible when activated. As far as I could see, only wingtips carry these, between nav-light and wing-light. Thought there should also be one on the tail of the Boeing 757?

Is there a fix to increase light intensity, or may this be included on later updates?

Please consider this as an update:
The setting below are not light effects as I thought previously.  They are smoke effects for failing engines.

light.6 = 7, -17.00, -47.00, 2.50, cs757_sf
light.7 = 7, -17.00, 47.00, 2.50, cs757_sf

The above config is identical to what I already have  :-[
So seems to be another issue.
And, any answer to a possible missing tail strobelight is still outstanding.

Hello:
I have made tail lights for 757-200, the lower one is a nav light and the upper is the strobe. I am going to just paste what I have.  If you do not have the shockwave lights or the effects that I have then you will have USE ANOTHER strobe and nav  effect that is located in the effects folder of FS.  Replace the name only not the cordinates.

I still cannot figure out what effect that CS are using for the wing strobes.  Maybe it is some default value.

Anyway, here are the settings that I have made for the tail lights:

light.1 = 2, -80.00, 0.30, 7.00, fx_strobe
light.18 = 2, -80.00, 0.30, 5.50, fx_shockwave_navwhi

I also added these following lights which are strobes.  However, they are not the strobes that you would see on the winglets.

light.13= 2, -17.00, -62.00, 2.50, fx_shockwave_strobe_2_nl
light.14= 2, -17.00, 62.00, 2.50, fx_shockwave_strobe_2_nl
