I just bought that add-on, but haven't tried it yet. I'm interested in adding it to CptSim's 757-200 also since I'll be using this so much now.

Firstly I dont have this addon, but there's a section in your aircraft.cfg:
[LIGHTS] light.0 = 1, 0.70, 0.00, -3.90, fx_beaconh light.1 = 1, 40.00, 0.30, 10.57, fx_beaconh light.2 = 4, 67.00, 2.00, 5.19, fx_vclightwhi light.3 = 4, 67.00, -2.00, 5.19, fx_vclightwhi light.4 = 5, 15.35, 7.35, 0.10, cs757_land light.5 = 5, 15.35, -7.35, 0.10, cs757_land light.6 = 7, -17.00, -47.00, 2.50, cs757_sf light.7 = 7, -17.00, 47.00, 2.50, cs757_sf light.8 = 8, 13.40, -17.47, 3.40, cs757_edge light.9 = 8, 13.40, 17.47, 3.40, cs757_edge These are your landing lights. You will have to add your parameters in those lines. If your lights-addon is just an effect file then just replace cs757_land with the files name. Hope thisll help |

Tks for your informatio,
I'm using this configuration [LIGHTS] light.0 = 1, 0.70, 0.00, -3.90, fx_shockwave_beaconh , //fx_beaconh light.1 = 1, 40.00, 0.30, 10.57, fx_shockwave_beaconh , //fx_beaconh light.2 = 4, 67.00, 2.00, 5.19, fx_shockwave_vclight_l , //fx_vclightwhi light.3 = 4, 67.00, -2.00, 5.19, fx_shockwave_vclight_l , //fx_vclightwhi light.4 = 5, 15.35, 7.35, 0.10, fx_Shockwave_landing_light , //cs757_land light.5 = 5, 15.35, -7.35, 0.10, fx_Shockwave_landing_light , //cs757_land light.6 = 7, -17.00, -47.00, 2.50, fx_Shockwave_landing_light , //cs757_sf light.7 = 7, -17.00, 47.00, 2.50, fx_Shockwave_landing_light , //cs757_sf light.8 = 8, 13.40, -17.47, 3.40, cs757_edge light.9 = 8, 13.40, 17.47, 3.40, cs757_edge It's only a tentative to do it. I think it is possible to do it better. There are a lot of effects installed and Shockwave Manufacture don't have yet a configuration predefined. The effect is realy nice and soberb, but I can't put the shockwave lights in the nose gear lights. Don't know how to do it! Does someone have any idea? Perhaps those lights are linked to the 3D model. Don't know! PS: don't forget to put the below line in the VC1 section: gauge28=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light |

you did a mistake with light 6 an 7, these are effects for Con Trails... ...for the taxilight, you have to find the right coordinates, just add a third Landing light entry, perhaps with a shockwave taxi light effect and play with the coordinates till it is fitting... |

Title: Re: Shockwave's 3D Lights Post by Stormfly on Apr 13th, 2008 at 2:33pm
after that it could look like this...
Included are the vc doom light, rotating beakon, xeon landing, and small taxi heading down. To be independent of the gear (landing lights are switched on by default descending below FL100) dont add the shockwave gear entry in the panel.cfg and delete the line regarding light.12, the taxi light is linked to the taxi light switches and could be turned on after gear down, landing lights of course are linked to the landing light switches. Entrys: [LIGHTS] light.0 = 1, 0.70, 0.00, -3.90, fx_shockwave_beacon_rotating_red.fx light.1 = 1, 40.00, 0.30, 10.57, fx_shockwave_beacon_rotating_red.fx light.2 = 4, 67.00, 2.00, 5.19, fx_shockwave_vclight_l.fx light.3 = 4, 67.00, -2.00, 5.19, fx_shockwave_vclight_l.fx light.4 = 5, 15.35, 7.35, 0.10, Fx_shockwave_landing_light_small_xenon light.5 = 5, 15.35, -7.35, 0.10, Fx_shockwave_landing_light_small_xenon light.6 = 7, -17.00, -47.00, 2.50, cs757_sf light.7 = 7, -17.00, 47.00, 2.50, cs757_sf light.8 = 8, 13.40, -17.47, 3.40, cs757_edge light.9 = 8, 13.40, 17.47, 3.40, cs757_edge light.10= 6, 57.80, 0.7, -4.34, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down.fx light.11= 6, 57.80, -0.7, -4.34, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down.fx light.12= 5, 57.80, 0.0, -5.60, Fx_shockwave_landing_light_small_xenon // to be independent of the gear-switch delete this entry ! |

Just tried this, and thankyou.
Just one thing. If I want to control the landing lights before GEAR DOWN how do I edit the panel.cfg (Dont want to gear down at 10,000ft). Will the nose light go out when wheels retracted? Cheers Eddie |

...but carefull with
light.2 = 4, 67.00, 2.00, 5.19, fx_shockwave_vclight_l.fx light.3 = 4, 67.00, -2.00, 5.19, fx_shockwave_vclight_l.fx it would be better that you let them original, cause it seams that this are effects for the bigger rain wash animation on the windows... on the other hand, it seams that i have always enough light to read the gauges now, even with frontlight at daytimes, using overhead light switch. :-X |

Now that the addons are out, I installed Shockwave to both of them.
Freighter needs the same entries as -200. You can use this for -300: [LIGHTS] light.0 = 1, 0.70, 0.00, -3.90, fx_shockwave_beacon_rotating_red.fx light.1 = 1, 55.20, 0.40, 10.57, fx_shockwave_beacon_rotating_red.fx light.2 = 4, 79.00, 2.00, 5.19, fx_shockwave_vclight.fx light.3 = 4, 79.00, -2.00, 5.19, fx_shockwave_vclight.fx light.4 = 5, 15.35, 7.35, 0.10, Fx_shockwave_landing_light_small_xenon light.5 = 5, 15.35, -7.35, 0.10, Fx_shockwave_landing_light_small_xenon light.6 = 7, -17.00, -47.00, 2.50, cs757_sf light.7 = 7, -17.00, 47.00, 2.50, cs757_sf light.8 = 8, 13.40, -17.47, 3.40, cs757_edge light.9 = 8, 13.40, 17.47, 3.40, cs757_edge light.10= 6, 69.90, 0.7, -4.70, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down.fx light.11= 6, 69.90, -0.7, -4.70, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down.fx |

Hi all!!
After I installed the new Shockwave Lights Redux fs9 update 1.1 (see: www.shockwaveproductions.com/shockwave_3dlights/swlights_utility_v1.1.zip) I have the wing landing lights desapiered and the noge gear light doesn't go out eny more). This ahppens in all models. I thing there is something to do with new effects, althow the names are the same. Does some one has experienced that? Regards Fábio |

I have a problem with the 3D llights Redux on the CS 757 pro pack.
I have installed the lights like a few posts back in this topic. All lights works perfect, only the taxi lights that iluminatus the front fuselage do not have the 3D effect. I have win XP SP3, FSX SP2, CS 757-200 pro. Anyone nows why this one does not work correctly ? I also have a question about the tail light. Is it possible to make it a bit brighter. When I fly at dusk, you cannot even see it at the shadow side. |

Title: Re: Shockwave's 3D Lights Post by Recency on Nov 15th, 2008 at 1:28am
I am almost certain the CS 757 model has a few lights that are embedded into the model that can not be modified by the aircraft.cfg.
Nonetheless, here is my setup if you want to try. [LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing light.0 = 1, 0.70, 0.00, -3.90,fx_beaconh light.1 = 2, -79.00, 0.30, 5.50, fx_shockwave_navred//on tail wing light.2 = 2, -79.00, 0.30, 7.00, fx_shockwave_strobe_sm_3//on tail wing light.3 = 4, 67.00, 2.00, 5.19, fx_shockwave_vclight_l light.4 = 4, 67.00, -2.00, 5.19, fx_shockwave_vclight_l light.5 = 5, 15.35, 7.35, 0.10, Fx_shockwave_landing_light_small_xenon light.6 = 5, 15.35, -7.35, 0.10, Fx_shockwave_landing_light_small_xenon light.7= 6, 57.80, 0.7, -4.34, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down light.8= 6, 57.80, -0.7, -4.34, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down light.9= 5, 57.80, 0.0, -5.60, Fx_shockwave_landing_light_small_xenon // to be independent of the gear-switch delete this entry ! light.10= 2, -22.00, -62.00, 6.00, fx_shockwave_strobe_2_nl light.12= 2, -22.00, 62.00, 6.00, fx_shockwave_strobe_2_nl light.13 = 7, -17.00, -47.00, 2.50, cs757_sf light.14= 7, -17.00, 47.00, 2.50, cs757_sf light.15= 1, 1, 40.00, 0.30, 10.57,fx_beaconh //light.1 = 2, -79.00, 0.30, 5.50, fx_shockwave_navwhi //light.1 = 2, -79.00, 0.30, 5.50, fx_shockwave_navred //light.1 = 2, -79.00, 0.30, 5.50, fx_shockwave_navyellow //light.1 = 2, -79.00, 0.30, 5.50, fx_shockwave_navgre |
