Just got told by my drafter that I have been selected to work back on Herc's at RAF Lyneham. I am going to be a Ground Engineer. 12 months of training then it's off travelling the world servicing Albert on its travels.

;D ;D ;D ;D Dax man dont you do your homework i cant remember the last time the c-130 went round the world. The only place we go now is crappy deserts that includes vegas and china lake.

Oh no. Just finshed loads of trips to Vegas and China Lake with the the units here......oh well. I'll just have to re-visit all the old places...Did you meet Daniel in Micky's :o :o :oNow she's a Herc load.

The lineys hardley ever go away with the a/c anymore :'( the GE's double up on all the good det's when they come around as rare as they are. Thats why there is hardly any any herc guys applying to be GE's themselves as they are being worked to the bone in Iraq and KDH.
But congrats on getting the cse and i'll see you on the line no doubt.

That's naff for liney's. I use to go away all the time with a GE. That was 1992 & 96 though. I'm not sure if I am going on a K or J course yet. Still waiting for the posting signal to come through.

Found out today that I start my training on 2nd April and I'm going to be on C-130 "K's".
Until I get a laptop or move my main PC down with me I'll have to lay of the repaints as well.

Hey Dax well you should be in luck by the time you finish your course we might have some A/C for you to fly in LOL. Hope I bump into you on the line then I can borrow your re-paints from you rather than waiting to download  ;D ;D ;D. Could ask your advise as well as I havent a clue where to start on that side. But enjoy your cse> What is your base trade BTW. Mine is A/F Prop.

I'm am a mechanical who started as a rigger. Can't wait to get back on them. Wife aint too happy though.
