777-200LR
Aug 10th, 2012, 4:40pm

We have decided to include the 777-200LR variant into the 777-200 base pack free of charge! The 777-200LR will feature its own flight model, FMC and systems integration, and will come in three popular liveries.

PS: This can get you a free copy of the 777.

Thank you for deciding to include the 777-200LR in the 777 Captain Fleet. I can now see me doing some very long haul flights in it. Grin Cheesy

The new 777-200LR

I'm super psyched at the news.  The 777-200LR is an awesome plane and I have been wondering if they'd put this plane in and I was so happy to see it happening.

I guess that by now you can figure it that I am probably a very slow person...You have decided to include the 777-200 LR in the base package...what does that exactly mean. I bought the base package, I then bought the Virtual cockpit package that honestly screw the magic because until now I am not able to flight the plane any more and now I am supposed to compete to get what everyone that buys the free package will get...is me the only stupid guy out there?

@chusair - It means that if you buy the 777-200 Base Pack, it will include the 777-200ER and 777-200LR. It is not in the current v0.7 and I do not know if we will see it prior to v1.0. So it is best not to expect it before then.
Basically, you will not need to buy an expansion pack (saving you 9.99 Euros). For more information, see here: http://www.captainsim.com/products/x777/.

@NES - You buy it in a later version of 777-200 Base Pack, because as I said above, it is not in the 777-200 Base Pack v0.7. Wink

I installed today the v0.7 and I bought the base package and then the second extended version and I do not have any LR model...

Captain Sim, I'm looking forward to that also.
I actually just did my first complete flight with the 777 after installing the 0.7 update and I have to say I'm really impressed.
What a feeling of size!  This simulation really gives the feeling of flying something huge, like a blimp with wings.

Just noticed that CS is making the 200LR after all, great!!!

I have always wanted proper super long haul plane to fly some of my virtual airlines longest overnight routes, however all 777-200LRs and A340-500s out there have severely lacked in system detail and/or graphics. Finally I can enjoy some super long haul, maybe from Caribbean to East coast of Africa and from Caribbean to Southern Asia and from Caribbean to Australia.

Nice. I rode the Air Canada 200LR last year Toronto to Hong Kong. A well-designed airplane. We look forward to seeing CS bring it to life!
