Evidently not,I go over to there forums from time to time and read the posts they put over there, and they are an arrogant bunch over there. I own an aircraft I bought from both, and they are on equal on footing in some aspects. But tooting your horn, then being encouraged by the peanut gallery is rather disturbing coming from a customer's perspective. I know I was on of the critics of Captain Sim , but only because I support them. You have people over there that don't even own Capt's products and bashing off of speculation and a few bad experiences  One thing I will say hypocrites are everywhere, some of them are bashng OLe Capt, but they bought the 777 anyway. Why? Because they thought they were missing something. Wink

I've thought the same thing, is there some misunderstanding of the release method? I think there probably isn't, "PHDG" is just trying to divert people away from competitor products, especially the CS, because it is being partially built by the customers themselves in a way. I also think this is far from a used car salesman pitch, partially because we aren't buying a used car (It's more like a fresh off the line product, just released, that needs some improvement that is coming).

I think it's far from any scam either, for I walk away with a flyable plane, and it's being improved, and supported. I bought the incredible model last year, and it saves me money now. I no where else can buy the full plane in portions, its an innovative and unique way of selling.

I think, like I mentioned before both here and in other places, there are a few people who are afraid of CS's 777 (such as PHDG and some of their very loyal customers), and what has been shown. They bank off the past hoping the future will yield similar results. These people try to protect their own product's image and stability in the market by attacking the threat, which created a divided group of people. I think that overall, if I can have a say in how something is developed, it's worth much more then asking for pictures or updates, and I make comments like that over and over, but once again, there is one 777 I can fly, and one I can look at, and I like the one I can fly a lot more.

Dear "democratic" CS forum administrator. Thank you for deleting my post. I don't see other reason for you to do that but not liking the truth. One CS customer departing....

If you don't like CS then keep it to yourself... PHDG isn't all that welcoming either and they don't take criticism at all, Talk crap about them and see how long your post will be on their forums... Do you really expect to be talked about in your own house and not kick the person out who is talking about you?? Same with your post. Ofcourse its gonna get deleted. All your trying to do is get people to agree with you and try to say PHDG is better. Well its not because PHDG and Captain Sim aren't the same developer. So if you don't like Captain Sim because they aren't like PHDG then don't complain on the forums.
And its getting annoying know with the "brainwashing" crap, People have choices, if they don't want to buy PHDG and choose to buy Captain Sim big deal, PHDG isn't a requirement for flight sim, its an option.

Your post sums this up perfectly, PHDG is scared that when 1.0 of the 777 comes out and shows how big of an improvement it is over past Captain Sim planes that they will lose customers (which they will just like they did with the iFly)... PHDG and Captain Sim are like Boeing and Airbus.... Of course PHDG is gonna criticize Captain Sim, PHDG's plane is too far off to be released so what do they will do is release a couple of pictures and rave how better it will be in order to divert everyone's attention to them, well that plan doesn't work on everybody..

You know, when people say the PHDG 777 is better than the CS 777(or they claim), they have only see small shots and say the CS777 is really bad. They never say "WHY?"

Well, it remains to be seen if the CS 777 will have maintenance/wear, full failures simulation, extremely accurate systems modeling, authentic engine startup/parameters/EPR ratings, accurate VNAV, RNP/ANP, an SDK, FS2Crew support, and first officer callouts.

You can have as many features as you wan't but it doesn't matter anything to the simmer until its actually released which probably won't happen this year.

Where does it say that this or any forums are democratic. Make sure when you leave, close the door behind you, we are getting a cold blowing wind coming from PHDG. Sounds like PHDG is scared, it's like the car manufactures always comparing their product to the one that is most threat to their product.

What's that Internet thing you do when you agree with someone? +1, right?

Well, I completely agree with this.

I think a lot of people should grow up--I won't call out any names (or Flight Simulator aircraft developers!).

And I think both companies that are developing 777s right now should keep their heads down and do their thing. When both planes are complete and released, they'll speak for themselves.

I think that you are completely missing the point. I am sure that the 1.0 will be out before the other company releases their plane. That being said, if you consider it unflyable then you, sir, are the dumb one because I am fully capable of flight, with routes and other things. Perhaps you should look around the forum before posting something like this and you should read through the test-pilot forum.

As for you acccusing CS of being hypocritical, CS didn't challenge the competitors aircraft during the initial development stages without previews. The competitor told its supporters not to speak of CS and then the competitor's leader went out and publicly challenged CS. Who has an actual plane out? CS. Who has an EFB? CS. Who has videos of the A/C? CS. Who has a VC with displays that actually turn on? CS. It is true that CS didn't have an update for a year, but they did not go out and publicly challenge a competitor.

If you are going to be "that guy", then you need to leave for your sake.
