I shall paint the SAA 80's version by the next week or so (time dependent Sad ). That paint brings me back good memories, as I flew in one of those on Christmas 1994 to Durban. Smiley

How's it going on this one!! looking forward to it.

I'm sorry, I'm a bit busy and haven't touched my sim the last few days, so I couldn't get it started yet.
I hope I have some time by the next week.

Hi Ricardo,
I put this request in another post somewhere. Well done. That is looking really good. I also like the older repaints. Particularly the 70s version with the shiny bottom and the black nose tip.

I lived in East London and got to go on a couple of them around South Africa. Nothing is cooler than looking out the window just after touch down and seeing the huge clam shells of the thrust reverser open. The Orange tail is very striking and the big Springbok is very cool.

Look forward to seeing this one. Hope you do some of the others.
Well done

Cheers
Patrick

Glad you liked. Wink

Gotta love all those classic Boeings in good 'ole Springbok liveries, with the Union flag colours! Cool

Will try to do the 70's version as well.

Ricardo, looking good man, can't wait for the final product. @Padda2002, those freaking reverses needed to work to slow those birds down on 29/11. I've flown in and out of FAEL numerous times. Also had a few aborts there. Pilots not firewalling the thing. 737's and MD80's.

Thanks Ricardo, Looking forward to it. Hi Lee, FAEL certainly isn't the longest runway. I bet the reversers were working over time. I was a passenger in an A320 landing there. It certainly was not a delicate landing, but very functional. Certainly good fun.

Cheers

Thanks for your kind comments, mates! Wink
I haven't touched it since then, hope I can find some time to finish it during the next weekend as university exams are getting in its way.
Fortunately this paint is only hanging by details.

Studies are the most important Ricardo, but we look forward to the repaint too. Good luck with exams and can't wait for the repaint.

Just to say I didn't forget this, mates. Grin

Now is that fuselage aftermost section that's making me burn eyelashes. Grin
