Changes in SP2.4?
Feb 25th, 2010, 2:10am

Hi Captain Sim.

Can you give a list of changes that have been made in SP2.4? I have downloaded it, installed it and taken a few of the 727-100s and 727-200s (yet to do a 727 Freighter) up for some flights and I can't noticed anything different to the previous SP2.3. Please don't get me wrong, they work fine for me, just like SP2.3 did.

Mark

Edit. I could have sworn that the CS Weather Radar was included in the SP2.3 too???

Mark,

The main new feature of the 2.4 is CS Weather Radar (€ 9.99 value) onboard.
Full list of the 2.4 changes.

Older 727 versions provided CS Weather Radar compatibility/synchronization with VC, i.e. those who purchased CS Weather Radar (sold separately) were able to operate it in the 727 VC.

Now the CS Weather Radar is included in the 727 Captain product.

Thank you for that. I wondered why I could see and use the CS Weather Radar and others couldn't. Grin

727 v2.4 works great. So. Once again. Thank you for a fantastic product. Simply the best. As always.

I'm still trying to figure out why I couldn't find the full list of 2.4 changes.  Huh

No fix for the autopilot in non acceleration versions of FSX. Am I going to have to apply the autopilot KB fix to 2.4?

Any other pit falls those of us without acceleration need to be aware of before installing this update?

The autopilot KB fix file will be updated for version 2.4 in the nearest time.

Unfortunately the VC lack of sound issue is still there... the "reset flight" workaround is still valid at this point.

But ... i imediately forget about it when i turn on the new wx radar!!  Grin

Hi there,

I just downloaded de V2.4 and have flown the 200 freighter version and this are my comments:

- The autopilot work worse than in 2.3
- The pitch mode doesn't do anything. On the contrary, when I was trying to descend, the airplane started to climb !!!! IMPOSSIBLE TO GET CONTROL IN ANYWAY. Even switching on and out the ALT HOLD button.
- The sounds are not solved. You have to "reload" the aircraft again, and then it works
- N1, N2 and EGT go completely out of range when you takeoff. Also when you are approaching and the needed power goes to the limit exceeding the maximums

All in one: I can not understand how can it be so difficult to get a good autopilot, taking into account that other products from Cap Sim like the 757 work perfectly, incredibly good.

Sorry If I am dissapointed, but if the AP doesn't work properly, the aircraft behaves wrong, unreal, and all the fun goes away.

Thanks if somebody or Cap Sim has something to say, where I can change some configuration and it starts to work fine.

Best regards (and sorry for any mistake. English is not my native language)

Rolando
