How much does the F-18 load down your system?

I would like to purchase an F-18 with a quality virtual cockpit like Captain Sims's but I'm a little nervous about the hit on frame rate.

I'm guessing my frame rate would be less with the Captain Sim F-18 compared with, say, the Microsoft F-18. I can accept that.

But I'm hoping the Captain Sim F-18 won't slow my system down worse than the Abacus F-18.

Can anyone give me an idea what to expect?

Reply #3 - 02.09.2008 at 19:09:01 If your PC can run the Acceleration F-18 it will run the CS Xload ok. Mostly because the Acceleration F-18 is made by Captain Sim and the XLoad one is an updated two seat version with additional extras included. Dax

Thanks DAX. Yeah, I just installed it and did a very casual comparison with the acceleration F-18. I was surprised that the Xload VC was (as far as I can tell) identical to the Acceleration VC. If CS created the Acceleration F-18, I guess that makes sense.

Reply #6 - 12.10.2008 at 02:30:48 Gents, The MS Acceleration F/A-18 external Model and the XLOAD external models were made by CS; but, the internal VC was made by FSDreamTeam.com (FSDT). Hope this helps explain things.
