Dax's repaint shop latest
Apr 30th, 2006, 4:21pm

Hi all. Having a good long weekend?

Here is a shot of my latest 757 repaint. I started it before I left for my trip and is testing my repainting skills to the max. Hope you like and I'll keep the screen shots coming.

Very cool, how did you get the model to work with FSRepaint though?

Captain Sim's gave me the repaint kit before the 757-200 was released. It is the only model that works with FS repaint. I make the repaint with the kit then do final adjustments using the full version.
I recon if you ask the CS team they might let you have a copy of the kit.

I got to admit Cody, the AWA paint schemes are some of the most attractive around for the 757 but also the most complicated. This is one of the more simplest I liked and knew I could handle at the moment.
I might try another when I have done a few more of the requests I have had.

Here are a few more shots of my America West repaint. I have also made it into an 8 door variant. I can't adjust the animation to stop the over wing hatches opening but it is as close painting wise as I can get.

Close ups of the 8 door conversion I did.

and another

At the moment I am just trying to get the areas that I have chagned to match the weathering of the rest of the aircraft. Then I'll lighten it. Unfortunatly the white stripes show up the weathering too well.

Just uploaded this repaint to AVSIM. Only problem is that my last C-130 repaint is still not showing up so I have uploaded but I can not promise when it will appear. AVSIM tech looking into it and it is a lot less weathered looking.

Dax

Ps. If you would like this repaint then please feel free to email me.
