I’ve been using the cold and dark scenario to load my flights and never had any issues......until today. I always follow the best practices for my procedures......The only thing i did differently today was slew the aircraft to a different gate before powering up the aircraft. Maybe this was the problem?  I also noticed the dials for the engine read outs (N1, N2,EGT) we’re missing the indicator needles. First time I’ve seen this but I’m sure it’s connected to the problem i experienced. Not sure if this helps.....but figured I’d drop my 2 cents.

Thanks!
Yes the slew alone can produce magic. But we'll check the startup, there's definitely smth odd.

I've noticed as well to get the engines started you have to bring the sim icon panel up and fiddle on with the ED button

So, this little bug of not being able to start the engines is starting to get annoying! Does this about every 2 out of 3 flights!! I've been following this post, looked at the youtube videos, followed the SOP/Manual, and played around with the pneumatic setting several different ways, and STILL not starting!

Instead of Slewing I hit Shft+P to push back a bit to get aligned properly at the gate, added external power, and then shut down the engines.  No Slew. Went through the whole process of setting up the flight and once again engines wouldn't start! Is GSX the culprit?

I have been having the problem with no engine stat, also.  I have tried using the default CS livery, changing livery, placing it at an airport gate (the engines running on loading into the sim), going through an engine shut down, connecting either APU or GPU, setting packs to off, bypass APU and isolation valves open, powering up fuel pumps, electrics, hydraulics, pushing back and no engine start either using "Shift P" or GSX.

GSX has released an update which includes the CS 757 III yesterday.  I am now trying the default KSEA cold & dark state, loading it into the sim, then changing livery and aircraft location and saving that for a starting point.  Hope I can get the engines to start in this scenario.

It's about time to separate a possible engine startup 757 bug from GSX compatibility issue which we suspect to be the main reason of the "startup issue".

Just added a poll. Please vote.

Don't use GSX but when using the pushback tool of IVAP (IVAO Software) engines also won't start.
Using the standard Flightsim way (SHIFT+P) startup works.

According to the poll so far only 1 person with no GSX has a startup issue. So it looks more like GSX compatibility issue than the 757 bug.

Another third party software involved.

In my case the engines work. But when i save my "own" c&d save and load it then i can´t start the engines. For now i always load the cs c&d at KSEA and jump to my airport.

Hi everyone,

I think I found the issue: nor the GPU or APU charge battery. After a couple of minutes, you still have some power on the airplane but then the message « no electric appears » on the ATC window, and you can’t Start engines even if the avionics and lights works flawlessly. I resolved the issue by activating « infinite battery » on FSUIPC. Can anyone confirm this?

Apart from that, the plane is very good for a « first shot » but clearly needs an update on VNAV and 2 or 3 other things.

Thank you

Amo
