I also had the bug this morning.

First I spawned it at the gate at KLAX set the Parking Break then connected Ground Power then proceeded to shut the aircraft down in to a cold and dark state with most if not all the system turned off. I then proceeded to get the aircraft ready for departure flowing the flows and checklists. Then I get to push back. I've had the APU running for about 10 mins at this point. So everything is normal. Then i try to start the engines. I turn the packs off , have the isolation valve open as well as APU bleed, L + R ENG. But nothing happens!

I get the same issue as everyone else the n2 rises to 4 then jut goes back to 0 and they wont start

I do have a video but I can't post it as I have not posted 10 times  Angry

Ill try get the video here as soon as!

Hope this helps with fixing this issue.

Engines started correctly for me.  Started scenario loaded at FSDreamTeam CYVR, engines started as per CS routine on initial load.  Started APU then shut both engines down using fuel cutoff L -> R.  Opened APU bleed valve, both packs on auto.  L pack raised to 20 Psi and followed procedure from manual.  No issues except for abrupt start of engines, does not seem realistic to me.

Ensure that you have default flight loaded and do not start scenario from a saved flight.  This may be causing the issue.

Do you mean our cold-n-dark flight? As we also suspect it's corrupted somehow.

No, from P3D scenario (main) screen.  I haven't got that far yet, must have misread your post.  I'll try later when I have a chance.

No this was not using the cold and dark feature. Shutting the aircraft down my self at the gate when you spawn in as if you normally would.

In Beta .400, I couldn't start the 757 after loading the Cold and Dark flight. I never got around to testing it in Beta .900. Seeing as I've just repaired my computer, P3Dv4 has not been reinstalled yet, so I haven't had the chance to try the Cold and Dark flight in v1.0.

Started cold-n-dark in Seattle using "757-200 Captain III Cold-n-Dark (KSEA)" scenario.  Followed normal flows to start APU:

BAT - On
STBY Power - Auto
APU GEN - On etc.

Turned on hydraulics, fuel pumps etc.

APU Bleed - On
Left Pack - Auto
Duct Pressure - ~20Psi
Starter - GND
N1 - Did not spool up at all

Switched Left Pack to Off and N1 did spool up

Left Engine started.  Right engine started without having to switch the pack to off

I will test the cold and dark feature in a sec to see if that works. If it dose then I assume that the issue is coming from shutting that aircraft down yourself. What ill do is a turn around when I land to see if I can fire up the engines again.

I will report back my findings in the next 6 hours or so.

I figured this out.. I think...
It is ONLY when I push back with GSX that this happens. If I push back using the "Shift P" method it works just fines.

Search you tube for video:
[P3D V4.1] Captain Sim 757-200 III REVIEW & TUTORIAL (Startup, Engine Start, Takeoff, Autopilot)

There is a small bug with the engine start up procedure explained on this video but if you follow the sequence it will work OK.

Just flew from KLAX - JFK. Used the cold and dark state provided and had no issues staring the engines.

Not sure what the bug could be

Hope this helps to solve the problem.

I tried to follow the procedures and just couldn't get the engines to spool up, I followed the same procedure as in the video I mentioned in my previous post and all worked fine, but if I tried to start left engine first the right engine would not start.
