Ticket 12585, rejected because it had been answered before - ok, show me where. If you aren't going to support your product then I will request a refund.

I understand your frustration, but did you check the Knowledge Base for an answer to the problem you are having?

Login to Your Profile > Product > Customer Support > Search KB or Submit New Ticket.

If you are unsuccessful with finding the answer in the Knowledge Base, you can ask in the forum. If myself, or someone else, knows how to fix it, or where the fix can be found, we will help you.

Yes I did Mark, and didn't find an answer, I have also asked in the forum but have received no definitive solution. If the answer to my query (regarding the autopilot disconnecting) is in the knowledge base then show me where rather than pointing me to a rather insulting kb entry that tells me that my request for support will be rejected.
Add this to the fact that importing a flight plan to P3D is not available and I'm starting to see a product that doesn't quite match the advertising.

Was KB #10642 (the only one I found) the one that Captain Sim pointed you to?

Q: AP disconnects randomly without touching the joke.

A:
Please do the following:
- open aircraft.cfg file,
- find the section
AP_joystick_disc=25000
- change it to
AP_joystick_disc=32768
The autopilot will be no longer disconnecting.
You can also set the sensitivity of your joystick movement changing the AP_joystick_disc parameter from 0 (not recommended) to 32768

From: 777 Captain (FSX/SE/P3D) / Systems Programming (gauges) (QID 10642)

And if so, I am I right in assuming that you tried it?

I found that I can create, save, and then load into the CDU, a flight plan created using the in built P3Dv3 Flight Planner.
I don't remember ever seeing Captain Sim saying that the 777 Captain could load PFPX created flight plans, and if it does, it can only do so if they are saved in the P3Dv3 Flight Planner format.

Even so, if you can't solve the problems, then it's only fair to say you should ask for a refund. Undecided

ok, I'll take my dose of humble pie - when I searched I got no return, perhaps I was using A/P instead of AP? Having said that, the response to my ticket sent me to a KB search page rather than the actual solution - not what I'd call impressive customer service - if you know the solution is there then point it out.

Strangely enough, today I can see P3D flightplans in the request page whereas I couldn't 4 days ago. Reasonably sure that I rebooted after install. I don't expect CS to be responsible for PFPX exports, however I did and do expect them to import flightplans that are saved in P3D format by PFPX. I will take up the export to CS 777 with PFPX - I assume that the format is available from CS?

I have made the changes noted in the KB article and so far so good.

I'm glad you are getting some results.

Captain Sim needs to give the PFPX developers the coding, so that they can figure out how to export to the correct .RT format. Having seen the results of their work on the 757/767 .RT format, I think that loading the flight plan from the Documents\Prepar3D v3 files folder would be better (but that is my personal opinion). Don't take that as me not liking PFPX, as I use it often, and it is very good.

yes PFPX is a good product, but it has it moments - I find that I tend to use Simbrief more.

Just about to land at KORD, so this will be interesting

I've never used Simbrief.

Good luck with your landing at KORD.  Smiley
