Hello Naibor.

Switch the Navigation Source Selector to B or AB position on Autopilot Panel. This will correct the issue.

Good find! Unsticks my HDG Bug. Still a problem that I'm seeing though: With autopilot HDG SEL, I seem to be tracking about 25 degrees counter clock-wise to where the heading bug is set. Usable, but not quite right (at least for me).

Odourboy:

Yeah, I have that tracking issue as well. Obviously it wasn't a strong crosswind. Did you put in a support ticket?

In my case, the HDG bug never point to the top of the clock, there are a few degrees (2 or 3) of deviation.

I don't know if it happen only to me.

This was also driving me nuts.

[Solution]
Go to the overhead panel, lower left hand corner. There are two covered switches for compass. Make sure you lower them to the bottom setting on each, which is Magnetic tracking. Then your heading will be correct.

Great Advice...works perfectly now.

I like these little things you have to do to make the 727 operate correctly...makes the airplane feel more real and alive.
