Can't download in IE - AVG says it is a virus and Chrome says insufficient permission to open.  Have uninstalled 2.4 so am now 727-less. Huh

I have this issue as well. AVG points to csu721_2500.exe:\$VJK\P721.dll as a win32/Heur virus
Any thoughts? I assume its a false alarm but just want to be sure.

Thank you in advance.

John

Yes, it's false alarm due to antipiracy code. P721.dll is a part of 727's installator. Here is virus total report.

So how do you get around it?  Can't see where to turn AVG "off" and don't want the bother of uninstalling/re-installing it.

OK, I switched off AVG and after quite a few hoops (including a CTD - but a restart solved that I think) got the new bird to show up.  Problem is that AVG - re-enabled - keeps seeing the install as a threat and wants to remove/disable it.

Can you use a different anti-piracy app or modify it so it doesn't cause such a hassle?  Shouldn't the convenience of your paying customers come first?

Can you not exclude the location from live checking by AVG?

Nick

Disable the shields, or turn of the Anti-Virus program OFF during the downloading and installing. AV software is pretty harsh these day, anything that accesses the registry is considered a virus, even if it isn't. They will also delete the file the moment you try to access it if the AV is on. Sad

I´m having FSX-Steam freeze all the time when choosing 727-100 or 200 or Cargo. After freeze, then CTD.

None of the installers could find my FSX-SE instalation, i had to put it by hand. After that, the plane appears correctly in the FSX folder and i can see then in the Airplanes to choose inside FSX, but when i click in one, immediate freeze.
I cannot see any new entry in DLL.XML, is there should be one there?

Previous version (2.4) worked perfectly.
Please help!

Yes, this update is a bit of a mess!  I can't get any battery or APU and the overhead click spots don't work at all.

I went into AVG and excluded my entire FSX folder (don't have the time or patience to exclude each individual file + don't know which is the culprit among hundreds of files).

Now, FSX crashes whenever I select the 727.  707 is fine. Uninstalling and going back to 2.4.  This is a disappointment and been a waste of time.  Roll Eyes

Good news!  Shut down AVG, did an uninstall, reinstall and loaded the 727 into FSX, then exited and restarted pc - with AVG off. Restart launched AVG and all is working now as it should. Wink

The flight simulator x steam edition is closing when I choosing 727-100 or 727-200.

When the program is installed it created a folder in C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX-SE \DLL

I copied this dll inside of the next path:

C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX

and now is working !!!

"except heading switch

Pleased to report that with CS help, I was able to get V2.5 to load and run. A conflict with some dlls (2 from MilViz F15) was the problem. Workaround (temporary I hope) is to comment out the offending dlls in my dll.xml file.

This is a significant release. Moves the CS 727 up a notch for sure!

Once I read how to enable the flaps gauges, the only nuisance issue I'm having is the Heading Bug not moving. Reboots and reloads don't help. It's stuck! Anybody discovered a fix for this?
