1.6 and CIVA INS

Appears, with the 1.6 update, that the Delco Carousel CIVA INS is no longer functional with the aircraft.  It will not perform heading heading adjustments.  Anyone have a solution?

FIXED! Replace the 1.6 Captain_Sim.x737.sys.dll with the 1.0 in the panel folder and the Delco Carousel CIVA INS is back in business on our lovely 737-200.

Please, if you find a suitable navigation solution other than VOR or GPS for the 1.6, do tell because I am interested primarily in real-world navigation and not unrealistic gps or boring VOR.  I would even accept a suitable IGS FMS if an integration point exists out there.

Tried with the 1.0 sys.dll-- seems that the switches in the panel don't work any more with it, at least on my system.
With 1.6 sys.dll the INS won't turn on- like no power supply at all to it. Pity- I would love to fly this wonderful bird with the CIVA INS

Update: I got INS to power up now, but as mentioned, it would not move the heading bug. (Same, by the way, with the "Auto-heading"- feature in FS Commander-- simply the connection to heading bug doesn't work. Pity..)

For the 737 in general, this has been the case since release.  I read they are using non-standard approach to the heading and dual-CIVA would not work, only the single and the heading won't move either.

I would just love for CaptainSim to come up with their own implementation for navigation on the NOSTALGY birds.

Has anyone managed to get the CS CIVA-INS from the recent 727 patch into the 737? For whatever reason I could never get any of the old-style CIVA INSes to ever work in the steam edition, and I much prefer CS's implementation of it anyway.

Bet it has something to do with the A,B,AB selector switch. I'm using a simple stock civa window:

[Window06]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=180,328
window_size_ratio=1.000
position=8
visible=0
ident=11041
type=special

gauge00=../civa/INS!Cdu1,  0,138,180,190
gauge01=../civa/INS!Msu1,  0,70,180,68
gauge02=../civa/INS!NavModeSingle,  145,0,35,70
//ins bottom right

[VCockpit01]
gauge18=../civa/INS!Config, 0, 0, 0, 0, CS732

Can't get it to engage, yet...
Anyone know how to pull the G03 3d autopilot out and insert the 727 3d?

*****We need dual Civa's on the console in the 707, 727, and 737.****

Hello,

So what is the status on this case?

Is it possible to use the CIVA INS on the 1.6 version?

If not, I might stay with version 1.0. Sadly

For right now the Civa functions normally but cannot be engaged by the 737. You can manually steer the aircraft from the information the Civa provides.

Takes time to poke around trial and error. Obviously, there is a disconnect between the autopilot and Civa. What's causing it?

I might not have been clear regarding the 737. The CS Civa ins from the 727 placed into the 737 does not work, no power. It would not respond. The Delco Civa 1.51 powers up, loads  waypoints but that's it. You have use the autopilot and manually input the heading to steer the legs. The 737 needs a further update to allow a functional ins.
If you can live with that, the automatic switching of waypoints is just an inconvenience. It improves your situational awareness because now you have to pay attention to it. If not use a gps.
I would like to see a civa on the console, that would make the 737 complete.
