however, the whole steering (front wheel, rudder, ailerons) was out of order.

Do you mean the front wheel, rudder and ailerons didn't work? My XML code doesn't control any of those.

Send me a PM and I'll send you a link to a version without the auto-trim.

I just downloaded the trim sensitivity fix and installed it. It works great! The 727 was nearly un-flyable until this change was made, but now I can adjust the rate of climb and only need to make minor adjustments as I climb to my selected altitude. Smiley Smiley

I'm using this together with the V1 callout mod. Is there a way to keep all the fixes, but disable the auto-trim? I want to be able to set my own trim on the ground, not have the gauge do it for me. I'm using the FM tweaks, which move the CG around a little bit. The V1 mod thinks I should be setting -5 for take-off trim, and either that or this is over-riding me when I try to set the trim myself, and I can't take off.

The auto-trim is released when the wheels leave the ground, trim will adjust whenever you command after that.
There is an error that is locking the auto-trim while still on the ground.

Add the following RED item to the 727_various_fixes.xml in the <!-- Auto Trim Set --> section about 40 lines down in the code:
(L:TCAS_P13_008_BUT_POS_click, bool) (A:BRAKE PARKING INDICATOR, bool) and (A:SIM ON GROUND,bool) and (A:ENG HYDRAULIC PRESSURE:2,pounds) 0.0001 * 2800 > and

Make certain to have a 'space' on either side and save the file.

Thanks, I'll try that when I get back in a few days. Just to be clear, I'm not even able to leave the ground, the trim is stuck at -5 and full up elevator means I can't even raise the nose to rotate.

Is there any way to just turn off the auto-trim entirely? All of the other fixes like the speed bug, GPWS, etc are fantastic, but I would simply like to control the trim and altitude selection on my own.

@fsxpaul.

I tried to reply to your PM, but I can't. When I try to send a reply, it says:

The following member(s) could not be messaged.
The member name(s) is/are either invalid, or they have you on their ignore list:

Funnily enough, no names, not even fsxpaul, come up in the the list! Undecided

With the fix I've suggested, you should have no further issues.
As designed, the auto-trim and auto-alt-alert set will only activate when the Transponder Ident Button is pressed.

I'm currently updating the XML code to allow optional features to be activated.
Also adding EPR throttle hold via the EPR setting bugs.

Need some more testing before I release.
