One last problem with the 727 AP

I have upgraded to Acelleration and the A/P works now both for elevator increase and decrease but one problem remains.  The aircraft is porposing (rocking up and down) as it tries to maintain pitch.  Is anyone else experiencing this issue and how should I try to fix it.

Note that I have added most of the mods and I am on latest version 2.4 (or at least I should be as I purchased in the last 2 years).

Are you sure that you are not flying too high for the aircraft's gross weight?

Definitely not Mark.  My test flight yesterday was a very short hop from CYXU to CYYZ (probably 160miles) at 10,000 ft.  Fuel was set to 5000 lbs per tank.

I am actually wondering if I have 2.4 installed and then added the mods on top of that.  Air file mod and also the Matt Smith fixes.  Sorry I can't remember.

The only time I have any porpoising of the 727 is when I select a high simulator rate such as X-8.
Then any turbulence is exaggerated and could show up as porpoising.

Lou/Mark - Which air file are you guys using?  I just switched back to the original and it seemed to fix this problem.

I guess a better way to ask this question is with version 2.4, which mods are you installing ?

I think I have the following:
INS addition
Sound Fix
DME Gauge Switching
Pressurization Fix
V-One guage
Flight Model by Michael2 - This includes the changes to aircraft.cfg and the EPR cab files, TAT and MAC, plus the air file.

I do not use any mods with my CS 727, so the air files I use are the ones that get installed by the csp721_2400.exe, csp722_2400.execsp723_2400.exe installers. Smiley

HI Mark 767,
I have installed all the mods you mentioned along with the air file that Micheal2 mod uses. I'm using acceleration. No porpoising for me. Although, before switching from SP2 to Acceleration, I had major porpoising.

I have the V-One mods and Michael2's mods with airfile and do not experience porpoising either.  Running Acceleration under Win7 64.

Before you got Acceleration, did you install the "fix" that CS put out that was supposed to fix the AP pitch control not working?  If it is still installed, it might be causing the problem.

Yes I did install the fix.  Perhaps that is the issue.  I think it might just be best if I uninstall the entire thing and start over.  Its a bit of pain to get everything reinstalled but at least I will be sure its a clean install in Acelleration.

All fixed now.  Reinstalled, put back in the mods but kept the original air file (I can try the updated one later).  Flying smooth as silk now.  Thanks for the help.
