Wind sound when airbourne

When airbourne in a real jet you can always hear the wind sounds (most often even louder than the engines!).
I really miss this sound when I'm flying the 1011.

I would apprechiate if you could add a wind sound that becomes louder with the IAS increasing and gets quiter again until it disappears at maybe 130kt when descending/landing.

This would add a great value to the L1011.

What you need is A2A's Accusim.

It's cheap and the changes apply to every aircraft.

One of the must have addons.

It will give you configurable wind sounds and extras such as drag rumble when spoilers deployed, gear, brake squeal, cabin rattle, touchdown chirp... EVERYTHING!  Wink

FsPassengers does also add a lot of additional sounds during the flight.

SimPhysicsX

How good is SimPhysicsX? Just curious really, I already have A2A AccuFeel v2.09.

It is quite good i must say.
It has plenty of customization options ( maybe even too much ).
Apart of giving extra sound experience it also provide de-ice simulation, whole icing simulation is manager by SPh. Also ground friction is manager by SPh ( wet surface = longer braking way ).
Also some 'head effects' are included.
I think among all mentioned programs here, SPh is giving most options and experience.

I already have Accusim, but the sounds are different. Accusim rather sounds like a glider and not like a jet in which the wind hits the winscreen almost in a 80° angle.

It's a great difference in each airplane if you listen to them carefully in the real world.

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to add my 2 cents regarding cockpit sound. I've flown in the cockpits of all of the early jumbo jets.

The L-1011 and 747 cockpit sounds in flight are about the same as any jetliner really. Fairly noisy.

However, the DC-10 cockpit is the quietest of all the early jumbo jets. Great sound insulation in the cockpit! Much quieter than the other early jumbos.
