CS, Before i look to invest in this one, can you please advise if you plan to expand the model set to include the following:

L1011-Freighter

L1011-500 (the best livery worn by a Tristar IMO) Cheesy Cheesy

I think that for us to see the L-1011-500, CS will need to turn this into a Pro Line product. So I think we should hope that they do. Huh Lips Sealed Wink

But if you look at the B-52 Driver, which is also a Fun Line Product, there is only the one model! The B-52H. Wink Sad

If they added the L1011-500 then you could then fly with much more choice, Pan Am had the L1011-500 (N504PA) and others..

Air India..
British Airways...
Aer Lingus...
United...
Royal Jordanian..
Many more  Grin

Also be great if they added the RAF variant to, the Royal AF.

This is not France but the 1980's livery on the RAF's aircraft. Look at the Reg ZD951 is operated by UK RAF. Wink

It does look like the French flag on the tail, but the RAF roundel gives it away when you look closer. Wink

The 500 series seemed to be very popular and if release it would make this package much more attractive to buyers

Seeing as we have the 1011 Captain Base Pack, it could lead to more Expansion Models. It would be nice if it did. I like the idea of a slightly longer range (like the 6,090nm of the -500).

And I might add that the L-1011 works fine if you save a flight and then start it again later. I tried it a few times to see if it would work. I'm not sure how whether I tried it for the INS though.

I would be surprised if saving flights didn't work when using the INS. It works well with the ConcordeX.

My Concorde X got retired! I never completed a flight in it! In fact, all flights ended in a crash shortly after takeoff! Honestly. I did try it more than a dozen times, but the Concorde X just hates me. It is one of two addon aircraft that I have bought that have defeated me and I eventually gave up on. Sad

Yes please Grin those lovely 18 hr flights with 216 Sqn down to the Falklands for the 1000's of troops. Working on "Timmy" was a pleasure besides the only source of pasteurised milk on the islands. Wink

The -500 will compliment the L1011 package nicely. I am also hopeful that CS will do the -500 as an update pack.....

Perhaps the tape style and clock style cockpits can be made as an option to be selected using ACE.

Any chance for a L1011-600?

Lockeed was seriously planning on a twin jet variant, Rolls Royce's bankruptcy forced the -600 project to be cancelled.

I am hoping the CS will not use the same VC from the basepack since the 500 series has a slightly different cockpit with a few additions such as Autobrakes...

What I would like to see besides the 500 in an upcoming expansion pack ,if there will be one, would be an option to have and L1011-1 with the fin that is sweeps from the bottom front of the tail engine to the fuselage.  I would also like to see the L1011-100 as well in an upcoming expansion pack.  Again with the same option to have a model with the fin in front of the tail's engine.  Something like what was done with the CS 767 but with that one optional winglets were used.

Also I have a question about the L1011-1 in real life.  On airliners.net I was looking at some TWA L1011's and I noticed that TWA had L1011's with the fin sweep in the bottom of the tail's engine and L1011's without the fin sweep, and even some of them had the same registration number as the finless.  Were those L1011's actually the same aircraft but later had the fin installed or were they a different aircraft that already was built with the fin even though the registration numbers were the same in both of them?

That would by the "Frisbee Fairing" (named after aeronautical engineer Lloyd Frisbee, not the "Wham-o" flying disc).

It was added to some L1011's, based on customer option. It was primarily a noise reducer on the #2 engine - that also had some minor aero benefits. It was, or course. part of the standard design spec for the -500. Would be interesting to see from CS, but would require a model re-work I am sure, especially since it is an "option", and not standard on all customers jets. Not sure if ANY of the freeware/payware renditions of the -1 through -250 models have ever had that. It would certainly distinguish this model.

The CS L1011-1 is fast becoming my favorite add-on aircraft in FSX. I would dearly love to see the addition of the L1011-500 the  and  espeacily the 500F. I would not be put off at all if all expansions used the current L1011-1 flight deck model.

I'd love a Dash 500 expansion, with an FMC! Then, I could fly N388LS!
